Infrastructure Investment Working Group

The ASME-ITI Working Group includes subject matter experts and industry leaders tasked with: 1) examining the critical issue of deteriorating infrastructures in the United States; and 2) identifying the components of a methodology that would enable decision-makers to evaluate and prioritize infrastructure investments for optimum return on investment. 

The Working Group formally convened on December 3-4, 2008.  Its final report, presents a blueprint for the needed approach, including features of a risk-based methodology for consistent, comparable infrastructure investment evaluation; a process for refining and validating the same; and a strategy for encouraging its adoption and application.
